We are posting info for the West Loop Craft Beer Fest to be held on Saturday May 25 next to the French Market on Clinton St. Between Lake St. and Washington St.  Part of the proceeds will help to fund free special events @ Skinner Park and other parks in the West Loop.  So if you love craft beer, this is a great way to sample beers from over 26  ( the number has grown to 35 ) craft breweries.

FYI. We’ve received notice that OEMC will be doing training exercises in/around Skinner Park on Tuesday, April 23, 2013.  The exercises will also include Monroe and Madison St. from Ashland to Throop.  Please see flyer below.

Come help OUR public lands – Skinner Park and Loomis St. Gardens by volunteering for Earth Day Clean Up on Saturday, April, 20, 2013.

Everyone can help …there are activities for all age groups.  It’s fun and rewarding.  Breakfast and lunch provided for all volunteers.  Volunteer for 1 to 4 hours.

Bring the kids out for the Skinner Park Eggstravaganza on March 30! Egg hunt and fun for ages 12 and under.  Featuring Egg Hunts, Jumping Jack, Arts and Crafts, Games and Raffle.   If you also have a dog, join us for the doggie egg hunt on March 23, see other post.

SPAC Eggstravaganza

Join us for the 3rd Annual Doggie Egg Hunt @ Loomis St. Gardens.  Bring your pup out for   some fun hunting for eggs filled with dog treats and prizes.

Hello everyone,

We are asking for your help.  On Saturday, March 2, 2013 at approx. 8:30AM in the morning, an unleashed dog ran up and attacked another dog, a shiba inu, who was on a leash in Skinner Park.  The shiba inu sustained many puncture wounds, abrasions and nail scrapes.

The unleashed dog has dark brown short hair with white on the chest and forehead is named Lola.  The owner is believed to be a woman in her 20′s with short dark hair.

We are trying to contact and locate the owner of the unleashed dog Lola.  It’s important to determine what vaccinations the dog has.
