Fund Raising Committee:

The operations of the Skinner Park Advisory Council including fund raising relies on unpaid volunteers so that 100% of the contributions and membership fees can be used to benefit Skinner Park.

The Skinner Park Advisory Council ( SPAC ) believes that it is important that each contribution gift be used for the purposes for which they were given.

Donor’s rights are protected in our bylaws and financial statements are available for review by each donor.

Our bylaws also assured that information about donations is handled with respect and with confidentiality to the extent provided by law.

The Skinner Park Advisory Council has an open and transparent process.  Our financial records are available for public review at our regular monthly meetings. 

The fundraising committee works in conjunction with the special interest committees to raise funds to support their needs in both programming and capital expenditures.

Fund Raising Projects to Date:

•  Free outdoor movies and concerts  (On-going)

• Scholarships for Children’s programs  (On-going) 

• Construction of the Landscaped Tranquil Garden  (On-going)

• 2^nd Annual Skinner Park Earth Day – April 26, 2003  (Current)

• 1^st Annual Skinner Park Earth Day – April 2002 – construction of the flower bed in front of field house and flowers throughout Skinner Park.  (Completed)

•  Carson’s Pirie Scott Community Fund Raising Events  (Completed)

• Construction of the Dog Friendly Area  (On-going)

• 2003 Dogs of Skinner Park Calendar  (Completed)
