Buy a legacy donor tile to help Skinner Park and the Loomis St. Community Gardens. This is Phase II of the donor tile program with planned installation in 2016.

Preferred locations are on a first come basis. There are limited tiles available so order early to ensure your choice of location. Thank you for your support!
Proceeds from the Legacy Donor Tiles will help to restore, upgrade, and beautify Skinner Park and the Loomis St. Gardens as well as support the Skinner Loomis free special events series. The tiles will be designed to blend with the existing donor tiles that are currently installed in the playground. The tiles are created with a special art process that ensures your inscription will not fade and will stand up to Chicago weather.
Projects include :
● Installing shade sail / structures over sandbox and over other sitting areas in the playground
● Restoring the open areas of the playground
● Restoration of “SPAC” the dragon play sculpture in the playground
● Repair and restoration of the drinking fountains
● Improvements and restoration of the Loomis St. Community Garden – new flowers and plants and additional sitting areas.
● Improvements and restoration of the Tranquil Garden – a community garden on Park District land
● In the garden areas, all the plant materials are donated and all the flowerbeds are maintained by volunteers.
